Simtouch, testing your mtouch application

Simtouch, built in AIR, is a very useful tool for testing your multitouch application since not everyone has a multitouch table. But even when you do, it´s faster to test it with you mouse then actually booting up the table everytime Simtouch is cool because it´s actually a transparent screen so you can click right on your Flash/Flex/AIR mtouch application.

There is also another tool, built in Java, called “Tuio Simulator”, you can grab it here, it works pretty well too.

From time to time it comes a company who really does a great job in bringing together people who has common interests. Well, we think NUI Group just did that for the multitouch community. If you are thinking about starting a multitouch project, head straight over to their forums. You can learn a lot about how to build your own table (hardware) or an application in Flash or other technology (software).

So, this post is basically a thankful note to NUI Group. They deserve it!
